IDEAS FOR YOUR WORDS

Cursive text for names, notes, and a softer voice.

Script letters give a short phrase a handwritten feel. Compare regular script with bold script using the same words, or browse the alphabet above to see individual letters. These are copyable Unicode characters, so there is no font file to install.

A PERSONAL NAME

Cursive names to copy and paste

Start with a first name or two initials. Regular script creates a light, flowing result; bold script gives the letters more presence. Look closely at capitals and repeated letters before choosing a version for a display name or profile introduction.

A SHORT QUOTE

Bold cursive letters for short quotes

A few words in bold script can carry a greeting or a short motto. Keep the wording brief enough that the shapes remain easy to read on a phone. Use the regular and bold script results side by side to judge which suits the phrase.

Cursive alphabet: check the letters first

The A–Z and a–z examples show how Unicode script letters differ from the keyboard alphabet. Test your actual word as well: spaces, punctuation, accents, and characters outside the supported alphabet may keep their original appearance.

Check the letters in your name

Try a name or phrase below, then compare uppercase and lowercase letters in the alphabet sample. Script symbols do not join with custom handwriting strokes, and their shapes depend on the receiving font. Check similar-looking letters at a small size and keep a plain-text spelling available.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Cursive Font Generator FAQ

Is cursive Unicode the same as a cursive font?+

No. It substitutes Unicode symbols that resemble script letters rather than applying a downloadable typeface.

Can I paste cursive text into any app?+

Many apps accept it as text, but rendering and field restrictions vary. Test the exact destination first.

What is the difference between cursive and italic text?+

Script letters have decorative, handwriting-like forms. Italic letters are slanted but need not resemble connected handwriting. Compare the Script and Italic options to see the difference in your own text.

Why do some numbers stay plain in cursive text?+

Unicode script alphabets do not provide a matching script character for every digit or punctuation mark. The generator preserves unsupported characters rather than inventing letter shapes.

Can I download these cursive letters as a font file?+

This tool copies Unicode text; it does not export a TTF or OTF font. For testing an installed or uploaded typeface, use FontMaker’s separate Font Tester.

Can I use cursive text as a real handwritten signature?+

The result is decorative text, not a reproduction or verification of your handwriting. Use it as a visual treatment for a name, and follow the receiving service’s requirements for signing documents.
